1. No eating or drinking anything for 6 to 12 hours before the test.

 

2.  No taking of medications before the procedure, if you have a medicine that you usually    

     take ask you doctor if its okey to take it or stop taking it for this procedure.

 

3.  Ask for a relative or friend for a ride to and from the hospital

 

4.  Make sure you get to rest after the procedure. 

 

 * Procedure is case to case basis, usually done as an outpatient procedure and you will go home the same day but some patients may need to stay overnight in the hospital.
